Are You All In?
We’ve all felt the occasional pang of fear. That moment in our careers when you second guess the next step.
What if you take a risk…and fail? What if you hire someone…and it doesn’t work out? What if you scale up…and it all unravels? What if you seek to go bigger…but can’t afford the expenses?
It’s natural to feel fear. It’s normal to feel a sense of trepidation when you’re on the cusp of change and something big.
But here’s a question? Are you all in? Or half in? Because the answer to that query will define what happens next.
Change is coming
I was recently discussing this very concept with an agent teetering on the precipice of something big.
They’d been building momentum. They’d been getting results. They were starting to believe in their potential and skill.
And then came the fear. That niggle of doubt. Had it just been luck? Would that recent success translate into future results?
So here’s what I told them: You don’t shrink yourself into greatness. You have to be all in.
At some point, we all face that moment where the next move feels scary...
But not moving will always feel worse. As the old saying goes, 20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. But first, you;ve got to take the leap.
All in is about commitment
Going all-in is not about reckless risk. It isn’t about 18-hour days, blind faith, and throwing caution to the wind.
It’s about a committed vision.
It’s deciding:
I’m not dabbling.
I’m not testing the water.
I’m not hedging my bets.
It’s saying: “This is the life I’m building, and everything I do today is with the next 10 years and beyond in mind.”
That’s what all-in really means.
Long term vision
When you decide you are all-in, you are investing in yourself and your future. You are committing to the daily actions that honour a long-term vision.
You are embracing the discipline that is needed to create consistency and maintain momentum.
And in practice that looks like this:
Every contact? Followed up with intention.
Every lead? Entered into the database - clean, categorised, and ready.
Every vendor? Provided with clear service, aligned pricing, and professional campaign management.
One foot out the door
You’ve probably heard agents say:
“If I had my time again, I’d keep a cleaner database.”
“I’d follow up better with pipeline sellers.”
“I’d market myself earlier and more consistently.”
“I’d hire support sooner.”
Most don’t, because they’ve still got one foot in, one foot out.
They are reacting to the ups and downs, instead of responding from a place of clarity and purpose.
The moment you decide to go all in, the fear doesn’t disappear. But it does get quieter.
Why? because your direction gets louder.
So today, ask yourself honestly:
Are you just dipping your toe in?
Are you playing it safe because of a few tough weeks?
Or are you building something with both hands and all your heart?
Agents who win long-term, they burn the backup plan. They commit. They go all in.
